Recycled gold and conflict-free diamonds

The letter charm is made from recycled gold. Working with recycled gold means that the environmental impact is minimal. The gold is melted down and reprocessed and the lifespan is thus infinite. The quality is not affected by the fact that the gold is recycled, but is of the same high quality as new gold.
The diamonds for the letters are guaranteed conflict-free and approved according to EU regulations 2368-2002.
Conflict-free diamonds mean that they are controlled according to a special set of regulations called the Kimberley Process. It counters the illegal trade in rough diamonds that can finance war and human harm.
